Kicking off on Friday 6th August and running with various events throughout August. Created in 1984 by local enthusiasts, the early festival days featured live jazz music on the streets, in the pubs and in the cafes of Brecon. It's a community event modelled on the New Orleans-style jazz events. With musicians from all over the world attending, it's a must-visit event for any music lover.

Are you a lover of cheese? Taking place in the Queens Hall Narberth, between 10 am - 5 pm is the annual Narberth Cheese Festival. This event will be the place to be to find volumes of local cheese, wines, beers and ciders. Not forgetting the olives, preserves and cheesecakes. I think I’ve said enough, we shall see you there…

If you decide cheese isn’t your thing… well why not cycle with cider? Seems like a good combination, right?! This is a fun bike ride through the surrounding hills, forests and valleys in a delightful part of mid-Wales. There is a choice of distances from around 14 to 25 miles and an entry fee of £20 but with kegs of cider waiting at every checkpoint!

One of the highlights of summer in West Wales is the annual Pembrokeshire Country Show. You can listen to the all-day entertainment from the music stage, fill your belly in the food court, enjoy the livestock classes or be wowed by the spectacular show jumping. With so much more on offer, this is always top of our day-out list.

National Trust - Wales is renowned for its beautiful landscapes with many being maintained by the National Trust. Not only can you find coastal walks, woodland and gardens there are many historical houses open to the public.
Wales Coastal Path - If being outdoors is what you are looking for then check out the countless routes you can take along the Welsh coastline.
National Museums of Wales - Wales has many incredible museums, including a heritage site, a wool mill and an old cold mine.
