Your dog is an important member of your family so why wouldn’t you bring them on your holiday? The Cors Country House is completely dog friendly, and we encourage families to bring along their furry companions.
Our beautiful country home is nestled in 2.5 acres of private landscaped gardens, which are great for exploring! Dogs are welcomed throughout the downstairs of the property, with wooden and tiled flooring throughout it makes for the perfect setting for those muddy paws after a long day's walk. In our utility you can find a small under the stairs cupboard equipped with a dog bed, bowls and poop bags so need to worry if you have forgotten something, we have you covered.
The town of Laugharne is known for being extremely dog friendly, with many of our local businesses such as Arthur’s and Dexters at Browns all happily allowing dogs into their establishments. Let's not forget Laugharne Castle which is also dog friendly, this means you and your pups can wander the grounds together and soak up the history of our little town. With our beautiful little seaside town, situated directly on the Wales Coastal Path there is also no shortage of walking routes for you and your four legged friends.
Want to explore further afield? Great idea! Carmarthen town centre is one of Wales’ oldest towns and this quaint, beautiful little town has plenty to offer. Be sure to pop into the all new Baileys Coffee Bar, the all new doggy cafe in the heart of the town centre, we’ve heard their flavoured lattes are just pawsome!
Many of the county’s attractions such as Gwili Railway and the various castles (Carmarthen, Kidwelly, Llandovery and Llansteffan to name just a few) are all dog friendly. Even the National Botanic Garden of Wales has special doggy days, when dogs can join their owners and visit the great glasshouse and beautiful gardens.
Let’s not forget the beautiful seaside towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot. Heatherton World of Activities is not just the perfect action packed day out for kids, it’s great for those energetic pooches too, with canine agility courses you can be sure to wear out even the most hyperactive of companions! Looking for something more relaxing? Why not take your dog on one of Tenby’s boat trips to Caldey Island, they recommend you walk your dog before going on the boats, to ensure your furry friend is all relaxed and can sit back and enjoy the salty air.
Dogs are welcome all year around only at the far end of Saundersfoot beach, to the north just before Coppet Hall Beach. Although there are a few restrictions, Tenby beach is known for being wonderfully pet-friendly, at Tenby South Beach dogs are welcomed throughout the year.
West Wales truly does have a lot to offer your four legged friends, with all this on our doorstep, why not choose The Cors Country House as your ultimate doggy holiday destination….
